GOLD HELMET FOUNDATION

Gold Helmet is a non-governmental non-profit organization set up by like-minded individuals mainly from the construction, mining, oil, and gas industries to help in capacity development amongst skilled and unskilled practitioners in the industries through the facilitation of information sharing, education, training, and mentorship. We also seek to become an important networking and advocacy organisation for the development of technical education in Ghana.

The Construction Industry continue to serve as A Way Of Escape Out Of Poverty And Social Injustice For Many Youth, Helping them chart a course that could increase their chances of living relatively Decent And Dignifying Lives. Unfortunately, many go into Jobs In The Industry With Little Or No Basic Skills Training Leading To Poor delivery of Works. We Are On A Mission To Empower Such People By Facilitating Skills And Enterprise Training, Mentorship, As Well As Creating Access To Employment Opportunities. Over the years we have supported programmes and events of some technical institutions and also organised virtual seminars on diverse topics for professionals and other stakeholders of the Construction and Infrastructure industry.

Goals

  1. Help create a gold standard in construction and infrastructure industry, as well as the mining, oil, and gas industry by building the capacity of skilled and unskilled practitioners through information sharing, education, skills training, and mentorship.
  2. Create/ support opportunities for young practitioners in the industry; to fulfil their full potential.
  3. Help improve the level of craftsmanship and professionalism in the construction industry.
  4. Become a platform for key industry players in the construction industry to contribute their quota to social development.
  5. Encourage the development of technical education in Ghana through advocacy.
  6. Connect, network, and create access to job opportunities for the youth in the construction industry.
  7. Support the effective engagement of key construction industry players in the skills training and mentorship of the disadvantaged Ghanaian youth.
